FastQ Refund Policy — your right of withdrawal and how to request a refund.

1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and French law (Code de la Consommation, Art. L221-18), EU consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction date, without giving any reason.

2. Exception: Activated Licenses
The 14-day withdrawal right does not apply if you have already activated your license key (i.e. run fastq activate <key> and successfully bound the key to a machine).
This exception is permitted under EU law for digital content that has been consumed or activated with the consumer’s prior express consent (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)). By proceeding with activation, you explicitly acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal for that key.
If you have not yet activated your key, you retain the full 14-day withdrawal right.

4. Refunds for Technical Failures
If FastQ does not function correctly on your system and we are unable to resolve the issue within 7 business days of your support request, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the 14-day period or activation status. To initiate a technical refund, email support@fastq.oxoghost.dev with a description of the problem and your system details.
5. How to Request a Refund
Send an email to support@fastq.oxoghost.dev with:
- Subject:
Refund Request — [your order email] - The email address used at checkout
- The reason for your request (optional but helpful)
We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and process eligible refunds via Stripe within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
6. Subscriptions and Partial Periods
Refunds are not issued for partial subscription periods. If you cancel mid-period, your license remains active until the end of the paid period and no further charges are made. There is no pro-rated refund for unused days.
