Frequently asked questions
Yes, for noncommercial use. The core engine is open source under the PolyForm Noncommercial license — free for personal projects, research, education, and non-profit use. No trial, no credit card, no expiry. Commercial use requires a Pro or Enterprise license.
One license key per developer machine. You get commercial use rights plus all Pro features: scheduling, rate limiting, batching, and DAG workflows. The key stays active as long as your subscription is active (€19/month or €149/year).
Same features, different scale. Pro is one key per developer machine (€19/mo or €149/yr). Enterprise is priced per deployment key (€35/key/month or €290/key/year) with automatic volume discounts: 2–5 keys at €28/key, 6–10 keys at €22/key, and custom pricing for 11+ keys.
Your license key is bound to your machine automatically. After buying, you'll receive your key by email. Run: fastq activate <your-key> on the machine you want to use it on. The CLI reads your machine ID and registers it with our server. To move a license to a new machine, contact support@fastq.oxoghost.dev.
Email support@fastq.oxoghost.dev with your order email and we'll cancel immediately — no questions asked. You will not be charged again, and your license key stays active until the end of the current billing period.
Your license key is deactivated at the end of the billing period. FastQ will log a warning and disable Pro features after a short grace period. Your queues and data are never affected — only Pro features are gated.
After payment, your machine ID is used to generate a unique machine-bound key, which is emailed to you automatically. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Run: fastq activate "your-key-here" on the target machine. The CLI automatically reads your machine ID, registers it with our server, and saves the key locally. Pro features are available immediately.
If FastQ doesn't work on your system and we can't fix it within 7 days, we'll give you a full refund. Contact support@fastq.oxoghost.dev.
